Transitional sits deliberately between traditional and contemporary: classical proportion and comfort, stripped of ornament. Panelled walls stay but lose the carving; the sofa keeps its depth but loses the skirt. It is the most common brief in North American residential work because it reads as considered without reading as either dated or severe.

Applied to the showroom, this style works best when the layout fundamentals are right first. A showroom is a stage, and the product is the actor. Keep the architecture recessive — neutral floor, quiet walls, invisible track lighting — so nothing competes with what is being shown. Plan a walking sequence with a clear beginning and a strong closing view, and leave enough empty floor that a customer can step back far enough to judge scale.
