Can I use AI renders commercially?

This is the question that decides whether an AI render can go in front of a client, and the answer differs sharply between tools, so it is worth checking rather than assuming. On Archome, every paid plan — Lite, Plus, Studio and Enterprise — grants a full commercial licence to the images you generate. You can put them in a planning submission, a developer pitch deck, a listing, a competition board or a printed brochure without any further permission or attribution.

The free plan is different. It gives you 100 free credits to start with no card, and the output is not watermarked — free and paid files are the same kind of image. What separates them is the licence: free output is for personal use, evaluation and study. If a render is going to a paying client, you need a paid plan. That is the entire distinction, and we state it plainly because a watermark you can crop is not a licence anyway.

A practical note on client work: the licence covers the image, not the design decisions in it. An AI render is a proposal of how a space could look, not a construction document and not a guarantee of buildable geometry. Most practices present them as concept or option imagery and say so, which is both honest and usually what the client wants at that stage.

If you need something beyond the standard terms — a signed agreement, an indemnity, or use inside a product you sell — that sits under the Enterprise plan rather than the self-serve tiers.
