What is Masterplan visualization?
Turning a site plan, CAD layout or massing diagram into a photorealistic aerial image. Road structure and block layout are preserved; greenery, water and context are added.

Masterplan visualization is the conversion of a site plan, CAD layout or massing diagram into a realistic aerial or bird's-eye image. It shows how a large scheme, such as a housing estate, campus or resort, sits in its setting, with streets, blocks, open space and landscape.
Why it matters
Masterplans are hard to read as drawings. Investors, councils and communities need to see the overall idea: how the parts relate, where green space lies and what the density feels like. Traditional masterplan imagery requires a large 3D model and landscape detail, which is slow to produce.
Example
A developer has a plan with eight residential blocks, a central park and a pond. From that drawing, the AI creates an aerial image that keeps the road pattern and block positions and adds trees, lawns, water and surrounding context.
Common mistake
Treating the generated greenery and surroundings as design decisions. They are illustrative. Planting species, levels and boundaries still come from the actual plan, and the image must not suggest features that are not part of the proposal.
Practical tips
Provide a clear plan with strong contrast between buildings, roads and open space, and add a simple legend or colour key if you can. Mention the climate and the planting character in the prompt, such as dense deciduous trees or arid landscaping. Review the result for unrealistic road geometry and make sure the density of buildings still matches the proposed scheme.
