Can AI generate a floor plan layout for me?

This is the single most common mismatch we see, so it is worth being blunt about. If you type a room list or a plot size and expect a layout back, Archome is the wrong tool and no amount of prompting will change that. It takes a plan that exists — a sketch, a CAD export, a photo of a printed drawing — and turns it into a photorealistic 3D view.

The reason is not a missing feature. Sizing rooms, resolving circulation, placing cores and satisfying regulations are design decisions with consequences, and a model that guesses at them produces drawings that look convincing and are wrong. That is a worse outcome than producing nothing, because a plausible wrong plan gets further into a project before someone catches it.

Tools that do attempt automatic space planning exist and some of them are genuinely useful for early massing studies on regular sites. If that is what you need, they are a better fit than we are, and the comparison pages name them rather than pretending the category does not exist.

What Archome does well is the step after the layout exists. Once you have a plan, it becomes a furnished, lit, photorealistic room view in about thirty seconds — which is the part that usually takes a day and the part clients actually respond to.
