SketchUp Diffusion Alternative — Beyond One Model

Rendering inside one package versus rendering whatever you have.

What SketchUp Diffusion is

SketchUp Diffusion is the built-in AI image generator: describe a style, get a rendered version of the current SketchUp view. It is convenient precisely because it never leaves the application.

The constraint is the same as the convenience: it lives inside SketchUp, so it only ever sees SketchUp.

Where Archome AI differs

Archome AI is not tied to one package. A SketchUp viewport works, but so does a Revit or Rhino capture, a phone photo of an existing room, a hand sketch, or a 2D floor plan.

Beyond the still image it also produces cinematic walkthrough video, a downloadable GLB 3D asset, and material identification with RAL and Pantone references — none of which a render-inside-the-modeller feature covers.

For SketchUp users there is also a free Archome plugin, so the "never leave the app" convenience is not lost.

Choose SketchUp Diffusion if

  • You work only in SketchUp and only need styled stills of the current view
  • You want zero setup and are happy inside one application

Choose Archome AI if

  • You also render from Revit, Rhino, ArchiCAD, Blender or plain photographs
  • You need video, 3D assets or material references as well as stills
  • You restyle existing buildings and interiors from photographs

Frequently asked

Do I have to leave SketchUp?+

No. The free Archome plugin renders your current viewport directly, the same way a built-in feature would.

Is the geometry preserved?+

Yes — walls, openings, proportions and camera stay as modelled. That is the difference between architectural AI and a general image model.

Is Archome AI free to try against SketchUp Diffusion?+

Yes. Every account gets 100 free credits per month with no credit card. Free renders run at Ultra quality (30 credits each), which is about 3 renders a month — enough to compare output on your own project rather than on marketing samples.

Can I use the renders commercially?+

On any paid plan, yes — files are watermark-free and carry a full commercial licence. Free-plan renders are watermarked and intended for evaluation and personal use.

What should I actually compare?+

Run the same input through both tools and zoom in on the parts that matter: did the window count change, is the wall line still straight, are the proportions still yours? Marketing pages do not settle this — a side-by-side on your own photo does.
