Virtual Staging for Real Estate Photographers
You already sell the shoot. Staging is the line item on top — agents pay per furnished photo, and every one you outsource per-image is margin mailed to someone else. With a subscription, the marginal cost of a staged photo is a few cents of credits and sixty seconds of your time.
The problem
Per-photo staging services are fine at low volume and brutal at scale: a 20-listing month at outsourced per-image rates eats the margin the staging line was supposed to add — and the turnaround queue is on their clock, not your delivery deadline.
Agents also ask for the other cleanups: the occupied room that needs decluttering, the tenant furniture that has to go. That is a second billable line if you can do it in-house.
Archome does both from one account: virtual staging for the vacant rooms, inpainting for item removal, and a 4K upscale so the delivered files hold up as portal heroes and print. Geometry stays locked, so the staged photo matches the walkthrough — the thing your agent client gets complaints about when it does not.
How real estate photographers use Archome
1. Shoot as usual
Nothing changes on site. The staging happens at your desk, on the photos you already delivered to yourself.
2. Stage and clean in-house
Vacant rooms get furnished by style preset; occupied rooms get decluttered with inpainting. A listing set is minutes, not a turnaround day.
3. Deliver under your brand
Export at 4K, deliver in your own package, bill the staging line the way you already bill the shoot. No third-party watermark, full commercial licence on paid plans.
What you get
- Virtual staging by style preset — same-day delivery to your agent
- Item removal / decluttering with inpainting
- 4K upscale for portal heroes and print
- Subscription economics: high volume without per-image fees
- Full commercial licence on paid plans — client delivery included
- API access on Enterprise for studios automating volume
Honest limits: staging inserts illustrative furniture, not a specific inventory, and markets that require it need the "virtually staged" label — build the disclosure into your delivery and everyone stays safe. Heavy structural retouching (fixing a collapsed ceiling, changing what the property is) is not staging and we do not pitch it as such.

Questions professionals ask
How is this priced compared to per-photo services?
By subscription instead of per image. A standard staged image costs 10 credits; on the $29/month plan that is roughly 100 staged photos a month. At typical outsourced per-photo rates, the plan pays for itself inside the first listing.
How fast is delivery?
About 30 seconds per image, generated at your desk. The turnaround queue disappears — which matters most on the listings that go live tomorrow morning.
Can I remove furniture and clutter, not just add it?
Yes — inpainting handles item removal: mask what should go, and the room is rebuilt without it. Vacant-to-staged and occupied-to-clean are both in the same account.
Can I resell this as my own service?
Yes. Paid plans carry a full commercial licence, there is no third-party watermark, and you deliver under your own brand at whatever line-item price your market bears.
