If you want the lowest price per photo as an alternative to Virtual Staging AI or Collov, Archome AI works out to about $0.16 to $0.30 a staged photo (Plus plan, Lite plan or one-time packs), against $0.53 to $2.67 for Virtual Staging AI and $0.24 to $0.33 for Collov at full use. Archome is our product, so we also list where it loses. All other prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page on November 5, 2026.
Updated November 5, 2026.
Key takeaways
- Virtual Staging AI sells four monthly quotas: 6 photos for $16, 20 for $19, 60 for $39, 150 for $79. That is $2.67 down to $0.53 a photo if you use every photo. The page shows yearly-billing prices.
- Collov AI sells 60 photos for $19, 150 for $49, 263 for $79 and 526 for $127 a month: $0.24 to $0.33 a photo at full use. It is cheaper per photo than Virtual Staging AI at every tier.
- Archome AI is credit based: Lite $29 a month for 100 Fast renders ($0.29), Plus $49 for 300 (about $0.16), or one-time packs from $15 that stay valid for 12 months.
- Human-edited services (BoxBrownie $30, Styldod $16 to $23 a photo) cost far more and take a day or more, but a person checks the result.
- Quota size matters more than headline price. A $19 plan that gives 20 photos costs about $1.90 a photo if you only stage 10.

Why do agents look for a Virtual Staging AI alternative?
Virtual Staging AI is a focused, polished stager, and for a steady listing count a known monthly bill is a feature. The common reasons people compare alternatives are practical:
- The small tiers are expensive per photo. 6 photos for $16 is $2.67 a photo, and the next tier up gives 20 photos for $19.
- A quota is a fixed bill. A slow month still costs the full plan. A credit pack that stays valid for 12 months removes that risk.
- Yearly billing in the displayed prices. The page we read shows yearly-billing figures only, so check what month-to-month costs before you commit.
We go deeper in the Virtual Staging AI comparison page and the Virtual Staging AI alternatives for agents post.
Why do agents look for a Collov alternative?
Collov's prices are competitive, so the reasons are usually about fit rather than cost:
- Trial terms are unclear. The page mentions free trials and a watermark in a comparison table, but the plans do not state what the free try includes. Test on your own photo first.
- Higher tiers are large. The $0.24 photo price needs 526 photos a month. At the $19 tier you get 60 photos at about $0.32.
- Scope. If you also want floor-plan, exterior or video work in the same account, check what each plan covers.

Which alternatives are worth a look?
Archome AI: credits instead of a quota
You upload an empty-room photo to the virtual staging tool in your browser and get a staged image in about 30 seconds, with the walls and windows of your photo kept in place. The same account can declutter or restyle a room, restyle an exterior and make a video walkthrough. New accounts get 100 free credits with no card (the pricing page describes this as 3 renders). Packs are one-time and valid for 12 months, so there is no monthly commitment.
Collov AI and Virtual Staging AI as benchmarks
Both are AI self-serve stagers with monthly photo quotas. Collov is cheaper per photo at each tier we read. Virtual Staging AI has the smaller entry plans. Neither page told us enough to compare output quality; that has to be tested on your own photos.
Decor8 AI: unlimited and API
$14.99 a month for "Unlimited AI designs" and $0.20 per image through the API. The page does not define "unlimited", so read the terms before relying on it for volume work. Sensible if you are building staging into a product.
REimagineHome: a free first test
New users get 5 free designs; plans range from $14 to $99 a month for 30 to 900 credits, and individual plan prices were not shown. Check vendor pricing. See our REimagineHome comparison.
Apply Design: you place the furniture
Coins cost $7 to $10; a 2D image is 1 coin in DIY mode or 1.5 in Auto mode. More control and a much higher per-photo cost. See the Apply Design comparison.
Styldod and BoxBrownie: human-edited
Styldod is $23 an image ($16 for 8 or more) with 24 to 48 hour delivery, +$6 for 24 hours and +$12 for 12 hours, and unlimited free revisions. BoxBrownie lists virtual staging at US$30. Choose these for a hero photo where a person must sign off. See the Styldod and BoxBrownie pages.
PadStyler, Stager AI, Spacely AI, AI Virtual Stage, PhotoUp
We could not confirm current prices for these today, so we show none. Check each vendor's pricing page; we have comparison pages for Stager AI, Spacely AI, AI Virtual Stage and PhotoUp. The full category is covered in our best virtual staging software roundup.
Where does Archome AI fall short?
- No human reviewer. A wrong shadow or an odd chair means regenerating, and regenerating uses credits. Human services include revisions.
- AI can still misjudge details. We build to keep walls and windows in place, but you should compare every output with the original before publishing.
- Free credits are a one-time trial, not a monthly free tier.
- Collov's top tier is cheaper per photo ($0.24 at 526 photos a month) than Lite ($0.29), and Decor8's unlimited plan may be cheaper at very high volume.
- It is a broader tool than a pure stager. If you only ever stage empty rooms, a single-purpose tool may feel simpler.
How do you choose between them?
- Steady 20 to 60 photos a month: compare Collov, Virtual Staging AI and Archome Lite on your own listing photo, using free trials.
- Irregular volume: a 12-month credit pack avoids paying for unused quota.
- 150+ photos a month: Archome Plus, Collov's larger tiers or Decor8 Unlimited are the cheapest per photo.
- Single high-stakes photo: a human-edited service.
Whatever you choose, label virtually staged photos and keep the originals. Our disclosure rules guide explains what MLSs and portals usually expect.
